A top of the table clash saw this match get off to a flying start and both teams having fire in their bellies. Kirby had the majority of the possession but the Mavericks defended well to keep them at bay with lively goal keeping from the Mavericks Robbie Frostick . However, Kirby did go in 1 - 0 at the break. The Mavericks had a good spell of possession and saw Sam Hamnett turn the Kirby defence inside out. Kirby got the second and decisive goal from a well worked set piece. The Mavericks pressed and pressed to get back in the game but could not find a way through. Mavericks man of the match Sam Hamnett.

16/04/2011 4 - 1 Win Against ROTHWELL TOWN
This game got off to a slow start with both sides having possession however, the Mavericks found a breakthrough when the Mavericks Connor Rushforth's shot cannoned in off the bar. The Mavericks Jake Mansel put the Mavericks 2 - 0 up with the last kick of the first half. Connor Rushforth made it 3 - 1 for the Mavericks shortly after the restart after being put through by William Pearce. The Mavericks Sam Hamnett then put Connor Rushforth through to cap off his hat trick with a fine strike. Mavericks man of the match was jointly awarded to Marcus Lee and Harvey Kennett.

03/04/2011 2 - 2 Draw With ALVERTHORPE JUNIORS
MATCH 1 - League
A top of the table clash saw 2nd play 3rd. Both sides started pretty evenly however, it was Alverthorpe who got their noses in front. The Mavericks found themselves back on level terms after a lot of pressure paid off with the Mavericks Corrie Brettoner netting from inside the box. Alverthorpe were awarded a dubious penalty but justice was done as the penalty was blazed over. After a string of successive corners the Mavericks got themselves in the lead through a well taken header from the Mavericks Sam Hamnett. In the second half Alverthorpe drew level. The Mavericks pressed hard but could not get any more goals with the game finishing 2 - 2. Mavericks man of the match Connor Rushforth.

MATCH 2 - Friendly
In this second game the Mavericks got off to a great start with a far post goal from the Mavericks William Pearce. Alverthorpe rarely threatened the Mavericks goal and the Mavericks extended their lead with a fantastic goal seeing the Mavericks Marcus Lee get the ball on his own half way line, take on 3 players and then rifle the ball home. The Mavericks went in 3 - 0 at the break with William Pearce bagging a brace. In the second half it saw Alverthorpe get 3 goals back to make the scores level however, long spells of possession paid off with the Mavericks Tom Mason putting the Mavericks back in front before William Pearce grabbed his hat trick and made the score 5 - 3 to the Mavericks. On a blustery spring morning the Mavericks came up against an awkward home tie against Garforth Rangers. The Mavericks soon raised to a 1 - 0 lead with a goal from the Mavericks William Pearce. The Mavericks had long spells of pressure but could not make it pay off therefore Garforth soon got themselves back on level terms seeing the game 1 - 1 at the break. The second half had chances squandered by the Mavericks as they could not find a way through with the game finishing 1 - 1. Mavericks man of the match Corrie Brettoner.

A fine away victory saw the Mavericks claim all 3 points and keep a clean sheet. 3 first half goals, 2 from the Mavericks Connor Rushforth and 1 from Sam Hamnett gave the Mavericks a 3 - 0 advantage at half time. A fantastic game of football by two equally good teams saw South Elmsall take the points in a thriller. South Elmsall had the early play but a defiant Mavericks team kept them at bay however, both sides squandered various chances. South Elmsall went in 1 - 0 at half time. The second half saw chances go begging for the Mavericks with the Mavericks Corrie Brettoner having a shot go wide and one crash off the bar. Mavericks man of the match - Harvey Kennett.

A fantastic double hat trick from the Mavericks Connor Rushforth ensured the Mavericks took the points from this game. Having had all the first half possession the Mavericks went in at half time 4 goals to the good. In the second half Hemsworth got back in the game and pulled 3 goals back. However, this just spurred the Mavericks on with Connor Rushforth completing his second hat trick and setting up the Mavericks Sam Hamnett for the other Mavericks goal. The team formation was changed for this match allowing new players a bite of the cherry. As the game kicked off Worsbrough found themselves take an early lead. The Mavericks pressed for an equaliser and were unfortunate not to do so on several occasions. An early injury to the Mavericks Ewen Kenny saw Robbie Frostick take his place in goals and Jake Mansel replacing the injured Kenny.

The game proceeded and saw chances at either end however, it was Worsbrough who increased their lead to make it 2 - 0 at half time. Four substitutions at half time saw the Mavericks get a goal back as Sam Hamnett pounced on a cross from Connor Rushforth. The Mavericks soon drew level with Jake Mansel heading home a well taken corner. With the bit between their teeth the Mavericks took the lead when Jake Mansel bagged the brace. A top of the table clash drew these two sides together which saw the Mavericks come out with the points. The opening goal for the Mavericks came through a penalty by Jake Mansel and great team work by the Mavericks saw this being the score at half time. A flowing move from the Mavericks Sam Hamnett and William Pearce put Connor Rushforth through to extend the Mavericks lead. Barugh did get a goal back via a deflected free kick however, sound defending from the Mavericks Harvey Kennett, Matthew Exley and Robbie Frostick ensured they got the points. The Mavericks gained their second double of the season with an away win over a battling Hiendley side. The Mavericks had an early goal from Connor Rushforth disallowed. The decisive goal then came in the first half from the Mavericks Sam Hamnett who continued his run of scoring in every league game this season. 06/02/2011 2 - 4 Loss To NORMANTON
A game which saw the Mavericks play against a side for the first time on a pitch which had had the nets relocated due to the muddy conditions. Both sides were pretty equal in the first ten minutes with the Mavericks finding it difficult to pass the ball due to the pitch conditions. Normanton got their noses in front and increased their lead just before the break. After a good half time team talk the Mavericks came out fighting in the second half and Ewen Kenny was in the right place at the right time to draw one back for the Mavericks. The Mavericks pressed and pressed but through a combination of attempts wide and an on form Normanton keeper they couldn't find a way through. Normanton pressed to extend their lead but sound defending and goal keeping from the Mavericks did not allow this to happen. The Mavericks did get the break through and equalised through Sam Hamnett to send the tie to extra time. It was a shame to see this game go to extra time as by now the pitch was horrendous however, it did continue and saw Normanton get a goal as a fine save from the Mavericks keeper Robbie Frostick saw him and the ball stuck in the mud only for Normanton to tap the ball in. 30/01/2011 5 - 0 Win Against MOORTHORPE RANGERS
The Mavericks kept their unbeaten home record with a convincing win over Moorthorpe Rangers. The Mavericks had possession of the early play but initially could not find a way past an on form Moorthorpe goalie. However, the deadlock was broken by the Mavericks Marcus Lee. The Mavericks pressed long and hard but were unable to find another way through before the break. A fine flowing move involving Connor Rushforth and Alex Cunliffe saw Samuel Hamnett get a well taken goal with his left foot. The Mavericks defence of Harvey Kennett and Matthew Exley stood strong not allowing Moorthorpe through. The Mavericks Jake Mansel got the third goal having been put through by Sam Hamnett. Jake Mansel then returned the favour in assisting Sam Hamnett with his brace. The Mavericks had a string of successive corners but could not find the net however, shortly after the Mavericks Jake Mansel got his second goal of the game when the Moorthorpe keeper spilled a shot from the Mavericks Marcus Lee. Honours Even In 12 Goal Thriller

Mapplewell Mavericks took the lead through a quick goal from Sam Hamnett only for Sherburn White Rose to get 2 goals back. The Mavericks Jake Mansel equalising before half time. This nail biting match continued in the second half with Sherburn White Rose taking it to a 4 - 2 lead. A fine goal then coming from the Mavericks Marcus Lee and shortly afterwards the Mavericks Ewen Kenny got his foot on the end of a shot to get the scores level. The Mavericks took the lead for the second time in the game with a goal from Connor Rushforth only for Sherburn White Rose to get 2 back to take a 6 - 5 lead. With the clock ticking away the Mavericks Sam Hamnett got his second goal to take it 6 - 6. Having not trained or played for five weeks due to severe weather conditions, the Mavericks put in what was a fantastic display against Rothwell. The Mavericks completely controlled the first half which saw them 3 - 0 up at half time. The first goal came from the Mavericks Jake Mansel through great team work. The Mavericks Sam Hamnett got himself a brace before the break. The second half started exactly the same as the first, with the Mavericks having all the play but failing to convert their chances. The Mavericks Sam Hamnett got his hatrick halfway through the second half. Rothwell did manage to pull one back later on however, this was too little, too late as a fantastic performance from the Mavericks had already put the points in the bag. A local derby cup tie on an overcast Sunday morning saw the Mavericks in front with a great goal through Sam Hamnett which was supplied through Connor Rushforth. The Mavericks were under pressure but the defence of Harvey Kennett, Marcus Lee and goal keeper Robbie Frostick held firm. The second half saw both teams having chances but non materialising however, North Gawber did equalise to send the tie to a replay.

This game saw three individual hat tricks from Sam Hamnett, Ewen Kenny and Jake Mansel. As the rain got heavier and the pitch more muddy the Mavericks spirits were not dampened as Connor Rushforth got two goals, Marcus Lee also got two goals and Robbie Frostick chipped in with a penalty. With Worsborough getting a consolation goal late on. Mavericks man of the match was joint with Ewen Kenny and Jake Mansel as it was their first hat tricks.

This top of the table clash saw Barugh take an early lead through a well taken free kick. However, through great team work the Mavericks equalised through Sam Hamnett. The Mavericks then got their noses in front through another well worked goal with Sam Hamnett netting yet again. As the second half started the Mavericks were absorbing pressure well but Barugh managed to level. Barugh then took a 3 - 2 lead which proved to be the winning goal. Had it not been for a great goal keeping display from Robbie Frostick it could have been more.

10/10/2010 3 - 0 Win Against NETHERTON JUNIORS
The Mavericks were made to work hard for their victory squandering numerous first half chances. The break through came in from Sam Hamnett early in the second half. Netherton pressed hard for an equaliser but great defensive work from Matthew Exley and Harvey Kennett prevented this.

The Mavericks got a second goal when Sam Hamnett was there to knock in a shot from Connor Rushforth. The third and decisive goal came from a cross from Robbie Frostick and Jake Mansel was there to pounce. The Mavericks could have had a fourth however, Robbie Frostick saw his shot smash against the cross bar.

Having a full squad to choose from on a warm autumn morning the Mavericks faced a tricky task at home to South Hiendley. The Mavericks controlled the majority of the first half having lots of possession including five corners in a row but could not find a way through. Against the run of play South Hiendley took the lead. The Mavericks were soon on level terms with a goal from Connor Rushforth which saw the teams equal at half time. The second half followed the same route as the first with Jake Mansel netting to put the Mavericks ahead. However, South Hiendley came back late and had a 3 - 2 lead with five minutes to go. With two minutes left of the game the Mavericks pressure paid off with Sam Hamentt netting the equaliser. Straight from the kick off the Maverickss regained possession and took all three points with another goal from Jake Mansel. Man of the Match: Connor Rushforth

The preliminary round of the cup saw the Mavericks take an early lead through great approach play and Connor Rushforth putting the ball in the net. With the clock ticking down to half time Marcus Lee found space to slide the ball home. The second half saw a penalty awarded to the Mavericks with Robbie Frostick converting it. The Mavericks continued to dominate the game with long spells of possession with Robbie Frostick, Ewen Kenny and Jake Mansel capping off a fine display.

A wet and blustery Sunday afternoon at Moorthorpe Rangers saw the Mavericks concede an early goal. With an early injury to the goalkeeper George Coles an early substitution had to be made allowing Robbie Frostick to go in the nets. Fine goals from Sam Hamnett and Ewen Kenny saw the Mavericks going 2 - 1 up at half time.

As the rain fell and the second half commenced George Coles made an outfield appearance. An inswinging corner saw Marcus Lee head the ball in the net for the Mavericks. Moorthorpe Rangers pulled a goal back to make it 3 - 2. A fourth goal came via some great work with Connor Rushforth getting on the score sheet. The fifth goal coming as the keeper could only spill a Mavericks shot and Jake Mansel was there to tap the ball in the net. Great goalkeeping by Robbie Frostick along with a great defensive display from Harvey Kennett and Mattie Exley capped off a great win for the Mavericks.
