13/09/2009 0 - 2 Loss To Farsley Celtic Vixens FC
Mapplewell Mavericks Girls Under 11's did remarkable well in their first home match of the season against a well organised strong team from Farsley Celtic. Great debut performances from Jorja Hodgkinson and Chloe Lloyd help the mavericks to keep Farsley at bay in the first half. A poor decision by the manager to swap goalkeepers at half time resulted in two weak goals being given away and two clear chances which fell to Charlotte Evans and Megan Gosling missed by the mavericks. Well deserved Girl of the Match was awarded to Rebecca Lawton and a fair result would have been a draw. But that's football. Final Result Mapplewell Mavericks 0 Farsley Celtic 2.
